Day 5: Big updates and my app is almost ready to launch!
Today I turned Base Habit Tracker from buggy into ready to ship in Baseapp
What was done today:
> Redeployed a verified smart contract on Base mainnet, it was easier than finding a bug in the previous contract
> Month navigation with arrows
> Real-time transaction states, no more guessing whether it worked or not
> Achievement system: 7-day streak, 30-day legend, perfect month, 100 check-ins
> Mobile responsiveness, fixed the calendar overflowing on mobile
> Clean branding in the footer with my logo
> Removed unnecessary whitespace
The grind:
- Spent 2+ hours fighting with contract verification on Basescan
- Git/GitHub/Vercel workflow is still confusing, but understanding is getting better
- Pocket Universe warnings are still there, but the contract is verified on base scan
What’s left:
*Submit to Base App (top priority!)
The app looks simple, but it’s user friendly. Launching tomorrow!
