Anne Adams was a scientist who painted for fun until a rare aphasia began dissolving her words. As language left, painting became her only expression. She made 'Unravelling Boléro,' translating Ravel's score bar by bar into shape and color. Years later, neurologists argued Ravel likely composed Boléro's obsessive loops under the same aphasia.
