Framedl 2026-08-15 2/6* Monet painted Rouen Cathedral more than thirty times. He was struck by the effects of light and atmosphere on visual sensation, painting at dawn, during fog, full sun, and dusk. The most imposing thing in the city, 700 years of Gothic stone whose bells chimed over every roof, and he dissolved it into pure light. The façade trembles like a struck bell, the imposition undone: stone revealed as nothing but vibration in time, as fleeting as a chime fading in the air. Hint: @frdysk
