I feel like Farcaster *protocol will non-pivot back to being an open social layer because that’s what it always was The break out growth may come from other clients if the purple app is for trading/gambling only, depending how long the down only vibe goes on It’s competing with all wallets, DEXs, CEXs, prediction markets, token launchers etc which is fine if you’re only focused on these kinds of things I like Farcaster as a key piece of infra for open identity, publishing and messaging for a new generation of apps and sites like magazines, internet radio, galleries, and collaborative tools Experiences for people who revile tokens and speculation but may happily enjoy having a profile that carries across their favourite sites and apps and enables connection with others of likeminded interests Perhaps we’ll all meet again in some other internet era, still rocking the same FIDs
