@hollas
The night was dark but only because the clouds had blocked the moon, its light could still be seen albeit not bright enough. The sound running and panting is heard, so much for keeping quiet. My name is Klaus(or that's what I say it is), and I'm running for my life; why? Well let's go to the beginning.
I had a pretty good life going for me, had a job that paid well, a girl I loved very much and loved me just as much, but all that changed when my past came haunting. I know, I know, I've got to explain what this "past" is, well simply put I'm not exactly of this world. I come from another planet far away from the milky way galaxy, my people had conquered the world of science in ways that would put even the greatest of the greatest advancements your people could get in a million years. 1 reply

Won
Everyone strives for—
greatness, success, peace,
even against impossible odds.
To win.
To conquer.
To rise.
I, too, chase success—
not just in life,
but in joy.
Running my race,
facing troubles, overcoming.
And when it’s all said and done,
I’ll lie beside you at night,
whispering: Baby, I won—
We won.

Psalm
Songs of David?
Nah, this here are songs of Hollas—
devoted, obsessed with you,
reaching for your hand, your heart.
Tonight, I pray:
May your smile never fade,
your beauty never dim.
I sing for you—
not to impress or please.
No—
I sing because I can.
Because I want to.
My heart hums at your sight.
My eyes brighten in awe,
my ears tune to your frequency,
all for a glimpse, a sound of you.
This psalm?
Not worship—
just quiet, stubborn devotion.

Blank Pages (The Sequel)
With a mind that never rest, and a vision that never sets
Back where it all began, poised by the question of my mind
Troubled by the struggle of bringing to life, that which I envision
Staring at the expanse of the limitless blank page
And it staring right back, endearing, captivating, and yet, taunting
What shall it be, what will it be, a stab at love? Oh how much I love love.
If only it loved me back, Aphrodite's games amuse, yet leave me unsatisfied.
Her amusement, it seems, is naught but my pain
Or a go at life? Oh life, how far we've come, how much more we have to go.
Stealing petals from the flowers of joy,
And yet, scattering seeds of sorrow into the wind.
Life is a wonder, full of twists and turns, ups and downs,
But without life, what then will we be? Non-existent I presume. 1 reply
