Remember when the internet felt like a place you explored, rather than a trough you were fed from? A time before endless, jittering feeds turned our attention spans into a commodity and our digital lives into a chaotic bowl of algorithmic spaghetti.
It’s time to admit we took a wrong turn and drove off a bridge. Algorithmic feeds have ruined socials and the only way back to sanity is a revival of the principles that made early socials so vibrant, the intentionality of RSS and the expressive freedom of MySpace. 🧵1/10
