The author was a panel in a TV show abt pop decline. F from NE JP who live in Tokyo took polls on why they won't take a U turn.
#1 reason: work. Specifically anxiety that there won't be a job for them.
They're probably not pursuing the perf job in Tokyo but there's still a Tokyo Dream. The countryside is hopeless.
