The amount of people I’ve asked if they’ve used a mirror to inspect their vulva (labia minora / majora), and other parts of their genitalia as a way to get to know their bodies is low, and I usually get met with a “oh I wouldn’t want to do that,” which explains a lot about many people in this culture. And people don’t understand generational trauma The grandmother hypothesis is my current obsession

Oddly enough, men have zero issue with this question about their own genitals. If we can't have this discussion with each other as I used to say when I lectured at university, then we can't discuss sexual trauma either. They go hand in hand... I emphasize this w new parents as well.. We have a long way to go What's the grandma trauma?

really wish we could discover ourselves more via each other, like "hey, i love you and want to get to know you - do you want to get to know yourself with me?"

It reminded me of Samantha who sent Charlotte to the toilet with a hand mirror to look at her vagina (one of the episodes from Sex and the City).
