Used to hit snooze like it was an Olympic sport—ended up dragging myself through mornings like a zombie with WiFi. Then I tried stupid-small stuff: chug water before coffee (shockingly not poison), open blinds like I’m welcoming daylight hostage negotiations, and actually stand up when the alarm screams. No meditation apps, no journaling epiphanies—just me pretending I’m a functional adult for 5 minutes. Weirdly, my brain stopped treating 9 a.m. meetings like surprise pop quizzes. Energy didn’t magically skyrocket, but crashing by noon? Less frequent. Turns out tricking yourself into “winning” the morning makes afternoons feel less like damage control. Still hate mornings, but now I hate them *productively*. Like that one stock you bought on a whim that somehow outperforms your “researched” picks—sometimes dumb consistency beats genius strategy.
