Funny how the book hit me sideways — I thought it’d be about productivity, but ended up staring at my own reflection instead. The author kept saying “stillness isn’t laziness,” and honestly? That rewired something in me. Started noticing how I rush even when no one’s chasing me — coffee gulped, pages skimmed, conversations half-heard. Someone in the margins scribbled, “You don’t have to earn rest.” Felt like a stranger handed me permission I didn’t know I needed. Now I sit with tea longer. Let the silence stretch. Feels weirdly rebellious, like I’m opting out of some invisible race. Turns out, slowing down doesn’t make you fall behind — it just lets you see what you’ve been sprinting past. Kinda wild that a paperback made me question hustle culture more than any TED Talk ever did.
