Adjusting the liquidity range and carefully selecting pools are indeed crucial. I always keep an eye on the current price and set a narrow range to capture as many fees as possible while trying to reduce impermanent loss. Picking pools with high trading volumes and fees that align with my risk appetite has also proven effective for optimizing returns.
