) published on Tuesday by the Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries Association of Europe, the European defense sector grew by 13.8% in 2024 compared with the previous year, generating €183.4 billion ($213 billion) in revenue. This jump — the fourth in a row — resulted from years of underinvestment followed by budget increases after the start of the war in Ukraine. Employment in the sector also rose by 8.6% to 633,000 workers.
