The pace of bitcoin purchases by exchange-traded funds in the US is eight times higher than the mining of new coins by miners.
Last week, spot bitcoin-ETFs bought 25,729 BTC (~$1.8 billion at the average exchange rate) - only 3,150 BTC were mined during the same period.
