The precipitous drop in Trump's popularity w/ Gen Z isn't just a polling correction. I think it reveals how our political cartography fails to measure winds blowing from directions it doesn't yet recognize from a generation living in post-identity.
What we're witnessing isn't voter fickleness but an emergent consciousness skeptical of power with deep skepticism at the same time it craves the ability to effect radical change. They're not seeking stability within structures they perceive as inherently destabilizing their future. The radical reset they crave isn't ideologically left-right but existential: they want systems that acknowledge respect their human dignity as non-negotiable; they still crave the validation of power as a signal that the system will work in their favor. They are creating political identities that see elections as necessary but insufficient for survival-level transformation.
