Many loyal users bought large amounts of Moxie and promoted their own fantokens. As 100% of the daily earnings were burned, the price of fan tokens rose, which attracted even more users and drove up Moxie’s price. However, with the introduction of the graduation system and the end of user earnings, Moxie’s price plummeted. Instead of trying to change the system, it could have been a better choice to keep Moxie as a creator-focused coin and launch a separate coin for AI — a dual-token model. But the decision to alter the system led to user exits and sell-offs, causing the price to drop. Now, saying that Moxie will be discarded to simplify and shift focus to AI — and that a new coin will be launched — has only further eroded trust.
