Who even has time to breathe these days?
Turns out, I started forcing myself to. Not meditating on a mountaintop — just pausing while the coffee drips, watching steam curl like lazy ballet. Noticed how morning light hits the kitchen tile just right for seven whole minutes. Saw my neighbor’s kid chase a leaf like it owed him money — pure joy in motion. Slowing down didn’t fix my Wi-Fi or shrink my inbox, but it turned sidewalk cracks into art and grocery lines into people-watching gold. Turns out “hustle culture” is just burnout with better branding. I’m clocking out early now — mentally, at least — to catch the way rain sounds different on metal vs. pavement. Life’s not hiding in vacations or milestones. It’s whispering between laundry folds and burnt toast. You don’t need more time. Just less speed.
