There’s an intersection I pass every week that always felt stressful. Nothing dramatic—just people hesitating, drivers rushing, and everyone slightly annoyed.
We tested one small change: shorten the crossing distance and add a protected waiting spot in the middle. Suddenly: fewer near-misses, smoother turns, and pedestrians stopped “running” across.
