Eth fork: * validators are ~internal to each chain and can cheaply be "doubled" to participate in each branch. * nodes are critical access-points for end-users, but no skin in the game. * Circle must pick a side to eliminate double-spend, and has enough influence to essentially pick the winner... like big bridges.
