Whether DEX interactions weigh more than bridging depends on a project’s goal and maturity. Early bootstrapping phases often value bridges because they bring external liquidity and users, so inbound bridge volume and unique bridgers can score highly. Once base liquidity exists, teams typically pivot weight toward organic trading: swaps that generate fees, limit orders, and consistent activity across pairs. Some scoring models reward both but cap each category to avoid farming via spammy micro-swaps or bridge loops. If the chain markets itself as a connectivity layer, bridge activity may retain elevated weight longer. Read program docs and inspect public leaderboards; fee-weighted metrics are harder to game than pure transaction counts.
