Back with some AI stuff as weekends are for listening, and whether you consider yourself an AI skeptic or an AI enthusiast, this is a must-listen. Sharing my notes:
✔️ Personal experience matters, but let’s remember to talk about evidence, not just anecdotes.
✔️ The data is starting to arrive, giving us more concrete learnings.
✔️ Understanding which models we use is critical to evaluate the quality of the output we get. For example, you can’t expect the same results from the latest reasoning model versus a simple question asked to Siri, even if it’s powered by ChatGPT.
✔️ Let’s not put ourselves into white or black views, skeptics vs enthusiasts. The future won’t be about AI will replace us vs AI is useless.
It will probably sit in the middle, where AI enhances and augments humans, helping us with tasks we’re not great at or don’t enjoy. To get there, we need to be aware of both the positives and the negatives.
