When I get behind the wheel, everything slows down. It’s as if the world slows down and it’s just me and the road ahead. With every meter I move forward, my thoughts fall behind, worries fade away and are replaced by pure joy. I look at the trees passing by, the sky changing colors, the mountains standing in the distance, and the sunlight shining through the branches onto the steering wheel. I feel like I’m in the moment. There’s no past to bother me, no future to worry me. Just me, my car, the road, and nature caressing my mind like soft music.
