Can someone explain what the difference between the AggLayer and L3s settling on an L2? I am quite confused. Is the AggLayer similar to Polkadot Beacon chain and passing message around?

Question of the day: how far can the analogy between a modern computer and a Blockchain can be pushed? One can argue that a blockchain currently has a single thread, smart contracts are programs and accounts are user management. What would be threads, processes, file systems,…?

This is a very important step toward the separation of computation intensive operation. We also need to remove is the recomputation of the contract hash at each invocation. We can store the hash direct in the db for speed up. Finally, the Cairo rust is soon to be integrated and will dramatically improve speed to.
