The Milky Way is surrounded by small companion galaxies,including the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds. These dwarf galaxies orbit ours like tiny satellites,interacting through gravity. Over billions of years,they may merge with the Milky Way,slowly adding their stars to our galactic family.
