Question for the hive mind. Large enterprises are nervous about allowing their data into a hosted LLM. This, despite the fact that most of their data is already in AWS/Azure/etc. What is the rational basis for their fear? I don’t believe it’s copyright. Any ideas?

Knowledge as an emergent property of accumulated knowledge (e.g. large language models) causes one to wonder whether consciousness might be yet another form of emergent behavior. If so, what must happen or, more likely, what additional sensory input must be present to generate consciousness?
