Played with Cursor for the first time in a while, some observations:

- It’s extremely fast. I really wanna know how they made it so fast.

- It’s great at building UIs, especially if you use a well known component library.

- It’s horrible at handling anything related to data.

I had a very small sample size but it kept trying to over engineer any data fetching. It couldn’t just do a simple fetch

I’m now noticing the tab completion is slow compared to supermaven. The agent mode is what i thought was fast

Cursor for me is extremely slow. Surprised it's fast for you. What specs do you have?

I've migrated to Zed since then since I cannot stomach glitchy UI

mcp server / tool calling should help with handling anything related to data be more reliable (by connecting to relevant, different data sources or tools)
