Teachable: Listening Unteachable: Humility Everyone can learn to be a better listener, it's our natural defense mechanisms that usually shut down our ears and activate our mouths.

Prior, I've also written about the performative nature of declaring values (which your framework is great at avoiding) https://medium.com/unfounded/successful-startups-are-built-on-backs-not-plaques-c5f5e8ad856b

I love this. I've adopted a model that complements this, actually called Best-Worst-Last. It's a forced reflection (image below). Possibility vs. Legacy Every decision sits squarely between 2 realities, what happens next and what’s happened before. Best Case Scenario Understanding what the best case is requires knowing all the inputs to a problem. Beyond Best Imaging the other ways to succeed offers more opportunities to succeed. Learning From the Last Summoning your past experiences gives you access to all of your knowledge. Flinching Failure Past failures are painful, but most destructive in their power to prevent us from acting at all. Realtime Legacies How we act right now has an instant, immediate impact. Separating immediate from eventual is critical. Long-term Legacies What we do matters beyond the immediate. Our personal motivations secretly shape every decision we make.

From their pov everything is about Balance - money sitting in their accounts that are spent as opposed to on-ramp/off-ramp fees. Specifically on yield.. https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2025/04/23/paypal-introduces-3point7percent-yield-on-stablecoin-balances-to-boost-payments-activity.html

Founders, who’s thinking about trying this out? USDC is interesting as it’s something almost everyone can understand - we still have relatively low penetration. PayPal has their version and optimize flows towards pyusd. I could def see onboarding more money with “pay less with usdc” or cashback rewards for usdc purchases etc. How do you want to use this?

Thanks so much, it's true. I've been making an effort this year to be as connected as possible to all those old friends

Even though you're right, you can't copy-paste that enough to make it stick. Founders and their startups are way too integrated as a general rule to separate these two things. Trust me, I've tried! https://medium.com/foundercraft/you-are-not-your-startup-b6bf2eb81931

Not all merchants pay the fees, in truth.. sometimes they tack on fees when you want to use a card, etc. Another factor, micro or frequent transactions do benefit from these rails which some may take advantage of. Agree, however, that this isn't necessarily top of mind for most consumer.

I feel too you to be losing friends, but there's always the subtle reminder of how fleeting life can be. Got news an old friend from an old time passed, sad and soulful.

Perhaps yeah. Matt's stepped in it for a bit now with the WP Engine stuff and has seemed to indicate a changing commitment - wonder if this is the expansion. Only other thing I can squint at is that the network of content is a source of info for part of what Clay was indexing and maybe this pipelines that.
