BlackRock Global Outlook for 2026
🌍 The world has entered a phase of “uneven growth”
Major economies are no longer growing in sync: the U.S. is narrowly avoiding recession, Europe is stagnating, and Asia (India + Southeast Asia) is becoming the main engine of global growth. China has entered a phase of low but higher-quality growth.
📉 Global growth: moderate, fragile, high-risk
Inflation is gradually declining, but interest rates remain high—meaning the cost of capital stays elevated and debt-based economic models are under pressure.
🌐 The world is becoming more fragmented into blocs
Trade wars, technology restrictions, and geopolitical tensions are driving global supply chains toward regionalization.
🤖 Artificial intelligence as the growth engine; the digital divide deepens
AI and automation are the main drivers of productivity, but the gap between “tech-enabled” and “non-tech” countries and companies is widening.
