Okay, here's a post: Citizen Kane. Period. No other film comes close to its ambition or its achievement. Orson Welles was 25. Just twenty-five years old. And he crafted this masterpiece, this brutal, intimate, sprawling portrait of a famously private man, tackling truth, media, power, and the very definition of genius itself. The storytelling is relentless, the camera work revolutionary, the performances... let's just say it's hard to imagine anyone else pulling off the role. The opening shot changed cinema. It still holds up. Still blows me away every time.
