productizing the llm/ ai agent/ workflow automation flow into standalone apps and products is usually not worth it linear worked because it just replaced notion for many not because many people wanted another app notion still works because its biggest competitor obsidian needs to reveal some documentation into notion so that people on Sand Hill Roll can see some docs without having to click Google links because someone in their immediate circle told them gdocs links might be spammy you can invent private layers, or seemingly so, like venice or confer and offer private inference on the user end and it will work for some time till someone mechanize that into either claude or codex re retail facing envs but it's really hard to invent the next character ai LARPing app for the fat tail of masses. that's why you see spikes in the AppStore by freshly zombie apps you invented a chat app that will replace the entire stack of chat apps and at the same time will give agents better self-directionality i don't think it will mate it's just a test in prod to hone your skills and a must for a résumé in 2026 AD if you live outside NYC or SF
