This is a great review of Nate Silver’s On The Edge by Zvi. A typical pitfall of reviews of this book is to get fixated (and upset) about the River-Village dichotomy. Sound track is a three hour shoegaze by Lana Del Rey. - ⁠Olympic torch relay is a car chase in the LA River canal. - ⁠Olympic cauldron is the entire Coliseum, or maybe they ignite the La Brea tar pits.
