A tradfi friend called me today, finally warming up to crypto — and his whole confusion boiled down to:
“Which one?? L1? L2? Network effects? Fee generation? Social memes? TPS?? Gas tokens?? I thought ETH won but now SOL is ahead but maybe Monad or Hyperliquid will replace SOL???”

When the noise gets overwhelming, the answer is simple:
If you’re unsure → buy $BTC.
Best risk-adjusted single asset in the entire space.
If it were easy to access, I’d even say $COIN50 as a clean, diversified proxy.
Everything else is optional. BTC is the anchor.
