just watched Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra. loved the unusual blend of vampire lore with kerala folklore, all wrapped in a neat superhero package. it does carry the burden of setting up a larger universe, but still manages to stay contained and grounded. it’s not free of the usual tropes, but the fresh takes more than make up for it. definitely worth checking out if you’re into the genre but tired of the formulas.
