US economy adds 175k jobs in April, below expectations of 238k. The unemployment rate rose to 3.9%, above expectations of 3.8%. That caused Dow to rise due to expectations that the FED may have to pivot earlier than expected Stagflation vibes

It’s always amazing that markets go up on higher UE because the economy is entirely dependent on the Fed’s money spigot.

You need inflation too to make it stagflation. I don't see the 3% yoy out there doing that. Signs are showing the consumer tapping out, see $SBUX. Contrast that with the growth in US manufacturing. More like outright deflation but mild as long as the liquidity sticks around
