RE: "Agentic AI Layoffs" First COIN, now NET. It really sucks to get laid off, but I think you're almost certainly better in the long-run. In most cases you'll have some severance/benefits to cover the short-term. If you survived, you'll get folded into some form of a X-function "AI pod", where the purpose is to just automate your workflow and hand it off to an agent within 12-18 months. It won't be very fun. Within the next 24 months I wouldn't be surprised to see companies primarily composed of a C-level + IT, managing a swarm of agents (who manage other agents).
