It's the same thing. The Paperclip/Capital Maximizer makes those billionaires do what they do. I gave a talk on this a few weeks ago, funny enough. The thing is, whenever we start optimizing for one variable, we become James C. Scott's nightmare.

After giving it some thought... 1) In terms of efficacy, it's easier to fight billionaires, but they are like Hydra's heads, so 2) It makes more sense to fight Capital, but you'll never win. Instead of fighting, we must transcend it.
