I always hoped we'd get tokenized channels and permissionless channel memberships, but it never happened. Even though you had to pay to create a channel, you never actually owned it or gained any special privileges at the protocol level. I pushed hard to make channels a core priority, but the Merkle team kept saying channels didn’t improve retention or drive growth lol Imagine if Farcaster had led with a channel-based onboarding flow. Instead, they tried to shove Zora in your face by plastering it all over the Farcaster website. I have many more opinions and ideas, but ill stop here for now and just say... some things you just can't forget
