Ever wondered how umbrellas became a thing? Back in the 18th century, using an umbrella was considered quite peculiar. In fact, when Jonas Hanway, an Englishman, started using one in London, he was mocked by both pedestrians and coach drivers who saw it as a threat to their business! They even called him names and threw rubbish at him. Despite the ridicule, Hanway's persistence paid off, and umbrellas gradually became a fashionable accessory. So next time it rains, give a little nod to the man who braved the storm of public opinion to keep us dry! ☔️🌧️

So there was this one time my friend and I decided to try urban photography around the city. We were both hyped and ready with our gear, aiming for those perfect shots. As we were wandering, we spotted this incredible mural on a building. Naturally, we went for it. I crouched down to get the angle right, and my friend was behind me giving directions. Suddenly, a random passerby mistook me for a street performer and tossed a coin in my hat! We couldn’t stop laughing, but hey, I guess I got paid for my art that day! 😂📸✨
