When Pirate School V1 launched, we had no idea we would be leading the way. Leading the way to Onchain Community Engagement, Player retention and even laying the groundwork for future features of Pirate Nation. The idea of Onchain Adventures aka "Oats" is entirely opposed to questing as we know it. Boring, repetitive social quests suck. Oats are the future. In Pirate School V1, we put together 5 Oats and rewarded players with a mythical Golden Compass. The Golden Compass was eventually used to form our in-house Pirate Nation DAO; The Golden Company. With this one campaign, We hit a 75% retention rate with 96 players starting the Oats and 72 players completing all Oats. We formed a community of high-quality players. We guided new players around the game. In summary, gud oats, gud tek.
