Had a convo with some friends this weekend and it got me thinking... What are your all-time no-skips albums? The ones you throw on and just let ride because every track hits.

Here are 5 that came to mind for me, from all corners of the music landscape... Mac Demarco - "2" www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WZ5... Radiohead - "In Rainbows" www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgsm... Brand New - "The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me" www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye09... Yussef Dayes - "Black Classical Music" www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPXa... The Circling Sun - "Spirits"

I remember listening to that album from Brand New and was floored. Def a 10/10 pick (Yussef Dayes is also incredible. His jawn with Tom Misch is ๐Ÿ‘Œ)

Lots of incredible lore about Devil & God โ€” worth a dive down the rabbit hole. Hot Take: Yussef is probably one of the most talented musicians alive today

Not even a hot take. That is a very true statement. New gen jazz is something special man. You also got Kamasi Washington, Samora Pinderhughes, Yussuf Kamaal, etc

True true If youโ€™re into that music scene, check out the band/album I included in my picks โ€” the circling sun That album is a work of art and is a super group of aus/nz jazz musicians I genuinely had never heard anything quite like it before

Oh man โ€œDeja Entenduโ€ too

Deja Entendu is probably my most played all-time album. I have a deep personal connection to that album.

I do too. I played it to death. Everyone swore by Sic Transit Gloria, but real ones knew Guernica is where itโ€™s at. Itโ€™s like high production value Cursive. Different, but same in all the right ways.

Brand new is my favorite of those 5 - and would def make a top list of mine. Aka my vinyl collection

That fires me up. One album I wish I had and doubt I will ever see/have is Justin Vernonโ€™s earlier solo albums โ€œHazeltonsโ€. I read some bon iver lore on Reddit that said apparently only 100 were ever made but my guess is that is cds and not vinyls

Have you checked Discogs? Otherwise, embrace the hunt! Iโ€™ve been looking for this weird album called โ€œproving winter cruelโ€ by kill creek for ~10 years now lol

I was convinced In Rainbows was the best album ever for a time. Radiohead still my favorite band

I think if you ask me every few years my answer would change, but right now, i would agree โ€” in rainbows is their best work. I feel like itโ€™s somehow the most interesting thing they made. Also the release and its lore are legendary

Kid A is probably my favorite but I appreciate them all for what they bring to the table. Truly unstoppable and innovative band.

Probably too old right now for Brand New, but was an amazing discovery. Really aligned with Yussef Dayes
