My trip was perfect. The dogs frolicked the way dogs should. We visited old friends. I sipped coffee whilst listening to horses munch hay. It was magic. I cried as I left as I always do. There’s a lot that I love in this little life and it’s important for me to make time for all of it. 🙂

I like to paint on exhibition 1.5” thick canvas (made in Canada!). Sometimes I wrap the painting around the edges and sometimes I paint them a solid colour. The edges of the thick canvases give the painting, without a frame, a finished look so a frame isn’t always necessary. Many people however love to choose their own frame for the artwork they have purchased so that it will fit into a space and really feel like their own! Frames aren’t just accessories; they’re storytellers in their own right. Choosing the perfect frame is an important task and can really make a painting feel like it belongs in a room. They can enhance, complement and add depth. The frame can really set the stage for the masterpiece within. \n\nI love to see where my paintings end up and how my clients have hung them in their space. The pictured painting is named “Chasing Chesterman’s” and is for sale on my website. It is also available to view in person at the Black Rock Resort. I can’t wait to see where it ends

Had a fun little night checking out all the beautiful art at the Tofino Brewery for this year’s Queen of the Peak “Fins & Frames Invitational Art Show”. The art show will be on display at the brewery all week and weekend during the Queen of the Peak Surf Competition. Stop by, grab a bevy and check it out. My painting “Chasing Chestermans” is upstairs in the gallery with other stunning pieces by local women artists 🙂 I’m always in awe of the talented women who live in the tiny towns of Tofino and Ucluelet. This show, and the Queen of the Peak surf competition is no exception. 🙂 Thanks for remembering to take a picture!
