“Why Good Analysts Stop Optimizing for Attention” After two weeks of writing consistently, something becomes clear: attention is not the scarce resource — credibility is. Early on, most analysts optimize for visibility: posting frequently, riding narratives, reacting fast. But over time, the highest-quality analysts do the opposite — they slow down. Why? Because every public insight becomes part of a permanent record. In ecosystems like Farcaster, ideas don’t disappear into an algorithmic void. They compound. Context matters. People remember who stayed measured when markets got loud. At a certain point, optimization shifts: from speed → accuracy from hot takes → frameworks from engagement → consistency of thought The market eventually distinguishes between: those who explain what just happened and those who explain why it keeps happening. Attention spikes are easy. Credibility accrues slowly — and once earned, it outperforms every growth hack. This is the stage I’m optimizing for now.
