it's been over two years since i created the modern gandhi for web3. what started as an experiment with psychological ambiguity, has also developed into a blasting critic. this is not what i wanted to be. this is not what i am. this is not what i will be. so tomorrow, i'm stepping up my game. nothing big. just baby steps into enforcing what i believe in. a string of experiments. to see how it resonates. and what do i believe in? i believe in convergent evolution. so for that to happen, there must exist ways to enable collective consciousness. i'm not sure if these attempts will trigger the reactions i want to set off. but i will have no regrets doing so, on an allegedly dying platform that has some of the profound minds among the internet. long live farcaster. long live the internet.

after reading almost all the takes on who should run farcaster, it's clear why it failed to scale in the first place. as long as the people on this platform play elite, this protocol will fail to do what it is meant to do. these fools seek an enclosed wrestling ring and wonder why people won't step in. the same fools are highly responsible for the decline of anti-farming dau. why would someone participate in an environment they cannot be a part of? an interesting observation about these fools is, they do not care about the protocol. they only care about the environment satisfying themselves and they want to keep it that way. i've said this before and i'll say it again. when we as an audience nurture the protocol, it grows. when we as an audience gatekeep the protocol, it dies.

i told adrienne that i would provide feedback through convergent actions instead of pure critiques. and a smart guy once told me "fundamental to growing the network is sharing/building things that make the network better for the next user". so i built this little tool. a discovery hub for builders. a dao that isn't a dao. how it works: - anybody can submit a proposal of the projects they'd like to see get funded, or request funding for their own projects. - all users can vote or flag the proposals/requests shared and submitted. why? - to enable seamless and conscious discovery for the builders, communities, and mainly the cef stewards. - to test whether people of farcaster are truly forthcoming to help develop the ecosystem. what about spam? - users must hold at least 1 $CLANKER to quality for voting on and submitting proposals/requests. - users must swap at least $1 $CLANKER to vote on or submit proposals/requests. (the app charges/takes nothing) open for all questions, feedback and harsh criticism

auteur as a network is good for ethereum apps. it raises the bar and sets a new standard for discovery inside social protocols. right now it operates on top of farcaster. you curate authors (auteurs) through recasts/quotes. the benefit goes two ways. more discovery for the auteur, and a chance for the curator to get rewarded for curation. this experiment enforces a second thought among curators. "is this curation worthy" the way i see it, this surfaces meaningful content from genuine profiles across protocols. at least on my timeline in the worst scenario. so in a way, everybody is working for everybody's timeline. right now the only constraint people can possibly fuss over is the moderation. your curations are not instantly rewarded. they are handpicked based on morale and intent. it might not sound perfect, but like everything, it will evolve over time. in its roots, it's basically a game. the gamification of content discovery. there were similar experiments before but not this kind. highly recommend.
