Friedrich Andreoni has been awarded the Italian Council 14th Edition – Grant to Support International Research and Residency Projects for Artists. His project will be developed in collaboration with Sharjah Art Foundation, Barjeel Art Foundation, KORA Contemporary Arts Center, and Alchemilla Bologna.
Andreoni’s first institutional solo exhibition in Germany, This all sounds, opens at the Caspar-David-Friedrich-Zentrum, where sound works, sculptures, drawings, and films interweave across four rooms — exploring themes of memory, potentiality, and spirituality.

Friedrich Andreoni (*1995) grew up between Italy and the Middle East.
In 2020, he graduated from Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin and, since 2018, has been a member of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (German Academic Scholarship Foundation). From 2020 to 2022, he was awarded a DAAD scholarship (German Academic Exchange Service), allowing him to pursue his research at the Sound Department of the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. In 2022, Andreoni was the only visual artist to receive a special mention at the Pontifical Academy of Virtuosi del Pantheon Prize of the Vatican City, and in 2023, he won the Ducato Art Prize in the Academy section. In 2024, he inaugurated a series of public space installations entitled Arco, Arché, Archetipo as part of the program of Pesaro Italian Capital of Culture 2024. Friedrich Andreoni was recently one of the first artists-in-residence at Museo Novecento in Florence and completed the Meisterschüler program with Turner Prize-winning artist Susan Philipsz at HfBK Dresden, Germany.
At the beginning of 2025, Andreoni presents a solo exhibition at the Château de Fontainebleau, showcasing his recent video work “Sometimes” (2024), commissioned and realized in collaboration with the Fondazione Claudia Cardinale. Throughout the year, he is artist-in-residence at Alchemilla in Bologna and presents his first solo institutional exhibition in Germany, “This all sounds”, at the Caspar David Friedrich Zentrum in Greifswald. In 2025, Andreoni is awarded the Italian Council (14th edition), promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture, and is invited by curator Francesco Bonami to participate in the 18th Quadriennale di Roma, scheduled to take place in Rome at the end of the year.
His works are part of public and private collections.
