One tip: I set a iPhone automation so things revert to black and white every morning before sunrise. Often I toggle B&W off (eg when editing photos) but this automation makes it the daily default.

I learned to drive in Singapore which is also left hand driving, so it’s intuitive for me! Navigation is pretty straight forward, and I was surprised how much signage is bilingual or obvious without English. Overall 9/10

I am kei-car pilled. Rented a Honda N-BOX in Nagano (best selling car in Japan!) • Exceptional fuel economy • Decent sound system • Accessible storage • Good ergonomics for two passengers Honestly it felt like a modern Japanese apartment. Not big, but very functional with everything in the right place.

Interesting! Have you encountered Go Dofu from Arita / Kyushu? It’s made using Kudzu vines and has a specific chewiness I’ve never found in any other beancurd. Would be keen to try some texture experiments!
