Eight asset managers are seeking SEC approval to launch Ethereum ETFs, including BlackRock, VanEck, Franklin Templeton and Grayscale Investments - most of which launched spot Bitcoin ETFs in January, which the stock market perceived as a victory in a decade-long battle with regulators. The approval of documents for the launch of Ethereum-ETF has progressed to the stage of solving only minor problems, said two company executives who wished to remain anonymous. The SEC declined to comment, but in early June, the head of the commission, Gary Gensler, said in an interview with Reuters that the timing of the launch of ETFs would depend on how quickly issuers respond to requests from the regulator.
