Thinking about coined post prices, why some hold and others collapse.
Most content has a very short half-life. Today’s newspaper headline is not very valuable a week from now. The best content compounds — it’s just as valuable 10 days or even 10 years later.
You can see this in coined post price dynamics. Most tokens spike and crash fast, just like views and ad revenue. But content with real longevity should, in theory, have a price curve that keeps rising.
@coinbrad.base.eth was telling me that his viral TikTok (8M views) from January should be worth more. I argued it might’ve been worth $100K in market cap that week — but it was hyper-contextual. Valuable for a moment, not over time. His Indian wedding video, though — still as good today.
The real signal in coined markets may not be virality, but half-life.
