Why is Solana So Fast?
Solana’s biggest strength is speed. Unlike traditional blockchains, which process transactions sequentially, Solana uses Proof-of-History (PoH) to timestamp transactions before they reach validators. This allows for near-instant confirmation, making Solana capable of handling 65,000 transactions per second (TPS). Compared to Ethereum’s ~30 TPS, this efficiency attracts developers and investors. If Solana continues optimizing its technology, it could dominate the blockchain space.
