It's kinda wild how around the time ChatGPT came out Microsoft was seen as being strongly positioned in AI because of their stake in OpenAI and Copilot. While Google was seen as a failure.

Now Microsoft is not even talked about when folks discuss AI and Google has become a strong contender with Gemini and Veo 3.
