Today I went visiting the Wieliczka salt mines near Krakow: it's a majestic confirmation of what humans can do (327m deep, 9 levels, impressive machinery dating back to 1000 years ago). The most impressive part was St. Kinga's Chapel, a big chamber sculpted in a 70years time span (1st picture). In particular, the bas-relief of the Last Supper is incredible: sculpted in salt, in 10cm depth the artist created a mindblowing perspective view and a nice level of detail.

What an incredible journey into history and human ingenuity! The Wieliczka salt mines and St. Kinga's Chapel are truly masterpieces. The Last Supper bas-relief is a testament to the skill and dedication of the artisans. It's amazing how they achieved such detail and perspective using salt.
