I wasted 6 months of my life pursuing the wrong certification. Here's what I wish I knew sooner:
I thought I needed the fancy title and the piece of paper to be taken seriously in the industry. I poured $3,000 and countless nights into studying. The reality? No client has ever asked me for it. It was a massive distraction built on insecurity.
The biggest trap is chasing validation, not viability. Your energy should be focused on the 20% of work that generates 80% of your results. Everything else is a high-cost distraction.
How to avoid my mistake: The next time you start a new course, side-hustle, or major project, ask yourself: Is this for my ego, or for my bank account? Be brutally honest with the answer. Time is your only non-renewable asset.
